We had a fantastic time! We were also at least 2 decades older than the other guests. The music around the marina was loud in the afternoon and we were worried we wouldn’t be able to sleep, but all was quiet near our room except the sea lions by 8 PM. We had a beautiful view! The drinks were fantastic and the food delicious. There were activities throughout each day that were also fun. We also felt very safe. We would definitely stay here again.

Everything was very good It is a place to party and meet people The attention was incredible, especially Elena in front desk. They offered us various activities. I went Wathc whales and balandra for a good price with a friend that I did in my room and we loved it. The food recommendation they made to us was great. The meditation that the hostel has is a great experience I will definitely come back next year

This has to be the worst booking I've ever had and I feel very misguided from the description of this place. It's almost 1am on a Wednesday night and I still can't sleep from all the noise. It's been like this since I checked in, on Monday. A Monday. Usually hostels have quiet hours and this place was described as laid back and relaxed, both in writing and at check in by staff, but the walls are paper thin, the music never stops, and there is no staff to help once the office is closed. I came to Cabo for a mental break, to scuba dive and enjoy warmer weather for a week. I really wanted to come and meet people and like this place but the environment is not fit for anyone who just wants to hang out. This is a nonstop party hostel, I sincerely have not been able to sleep in 3 days and am petrified about tomorrow and Friday and how I will get any sleep before my Saturday flight home. To top it off, the sold me on the daily breakfast that supposedly starts at 7am. Since I'm here diving I need to be at the dive shop by 7:30am. Breakfast really starts until 8am because staff gets here at 7am to set up and open the kitchen and then start cooking. It's very dishonest to sell it as "available since 7," so when I asked for a refund they told me it was not possible because "special pricing" is not refundable which was also not disclosed when I accepted the breakfasts. I essentially have paid for nothing because the kitchen is not ready by the time I'm there to try to eat before I leave. The rooms are decent for a hostel, comparable to a 3 star hotel, and the location for me was good because it's next to the dive shop, but other than that it's nothing hip or exciting, it's very cookie cutter and wannabe cool hostel vibes with mediocre nonstop music. I feel like the "what I ordered & what I got" meme for sure. For their price you can definitely stay at one of the nearby resorts or try to find a deal at a boutique hotel, now that I'm here and I see the area and walkability/transportation there are better options for sure. If you are young, broke and looking to party then stay here.

Good experience of staying at Mayan Monkey.|Good location and friendly staff, especially Lu and Mariana. Not so noisy at night, which is surprising for a party hostel. And happy hours is good extra to have fun. Will be looking for my hostels of Mayan Monkey when I’m traveling.
